Happy New Year!

Hi everyone! HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

Did you have a good holiday season? I know I did but dang it was expensive!!

This is the time for resolutions, and while I am not good at them, I am going to try my best to get rid of some debt this year. Being better with money is something I have tried to do, and mostly failed at but starting again is never a bad thing.
After all, whether you start now or not, time marches on and wouldn't you rather have a few less bills a year from now?? I know I would!!

So. I have my 52 week savings jar ready! I have even added a few dollars in change to it, lol.

The other thing I got ready was my notebook that I called "The State of the Union."
This is where I am putting our monthly bills, current credit cards - minimum payments, total balances, etc, as well as what we spend on groceries and everything else every day. I don't do well on a budget, per se, but I do really well with seeing the numbers in front of my face as to where the money is going. Here's hoping this will help!

Do you have any New Year's resolutions? What are you doing to try to achieve them? Remember to give yourself some credit every day that you make progress too!

  1. My biggest financial goal is to spend less on "things". I'm an emotional shopper for sure, and I need to grow past that. I'd love to end 2018 with money in my savings account!

  2. Join me in grabbing a notebook and simply writing down what you spend every day. I can guarantee it will start to change the way you spend. I'm a big emotional and boredom online shopper :/
